  1. i can relate to this video because my parents were also immigrants. it took them a while to come over and start a new life but they did it and gave us (their children) more chances to succeed.

  3. Thank you for this video, Ana. By posting it, you have given a face to the immigrant struggle in the United States, just as the "Dreams Across America Tour" attempted to do. The video speaks to the struggle individuals must overcome to not only get to this country, but also to LIVE in this country. Thankfully, it goes beyond that struggle and shows the viewer the antithesis of popular American belief that immigrants are "destroying" the nation. Fransisco's life depicts how immigrants ARE human and that they contribute much, if not more, to society. It's ridiculous that this was even in question in the first place, but you did a great job at providing an answer.

  4. Ana,I understand and relate to Francisco's story very much.Coming from the Dominican Republic at such young ages forced me to feel a part of the United States. Many people used to bully and harrass me in school because I was an immigrant. This video is great! Its an inspiration and a declaration of truth agaisnt many obstacles that may appear in the live's of us immigrants. Wether we are Dominican, Mexican, Arabic, Indian etc. We still deserve respect because we are all human beings. We should not have to struggle to get a job just becasue of our skin color or race or even religion,we are all humans and all have a purpose of living.
